I recommend using a dedicated eReader device such as a Kindle or a Kobo.
I'd strongly advise using an amazing piece of open-source software called Calibre. It will allow you to organize your eBook library, and send to your devices.
For the Kindle, you will need to install the KFX Input plugin for Calibre.
If you own an Apple device, you can use the Apple Books app (used to be called iBooks).
For Android, I suggest eReader Prestigio.
